A fine 19th century box, probably American, circa 1840. The box is veneered in a pleasingly grained rosewood with rich color and patina. The top has an inset brass plate with engraved name “H.D Brander”. The interior retains its original robin’s egg blue lining paper. Circa: 1840. Condition is very good. Dimensions: Height 7”, Depth 7”, Width 9.5”.
