This elegant, antique fruitwood salt box was crafted in southern, France, circa 1920. The ornate, decorative, walnut box sits on delicate escargot feet over a scalloped apron decorated with a shell motif; it features beautiful carvings throughout including a vase and floral decor. The piece has a small but usable drawer at the bottom dressed with a brass knob, and a lift up top to reveal inside storage. The kitchen accessory is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina, and could be used on a counter, a shelf or hung on a wall.
